PHS Job 1416
Our new clients a family of 4 are looking for a Russian-speaking live-out nanny for their two boys, 6 and 3, and one more due at the end of December . They have recently relocated to London from Israel and now live in Holland Park. The children's mother works from home, so the nanny should be comfortable with not being sole charge. When the baby arrives, the mother is planning to stay home with him, but she will need the nanny's help to watch him.
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 08.00 - 17.00
Salary: Negotiable - based on experience
Travel: 4 times / year (5 - 10 Days / Trip)
The family are looking for an active, lively, warm, professional and responsible nanny who loves the profession and enjoys being around children. They would prefer a person with a background in child psychology/primary education or speech therapy, as well as prior work experience. As a family, they adhere to positive and attachment parenting, with no time-outs or any other forms of punishment. Their approach to behaviours is to find a compromise, coming from an idea that a child is a personality and we as adults need to teach them how to express and channel their emotions. They are a very loving, understanding family and would like their nanny to share their family values.
The older boys will be at school from 9am till 12pm, however, they would like for the nanny to start work at 8am allowing the parents some flexibility with school runs. The children's school is located a 20minute walk from the family home. There will be no requirement to stay at the property providing that the children's diary is managed as well as other ad hoc duties are complete before the pick up time. The hours will be covered never the less from 08.00 - 17.00.
The duties will include bringing the children to after-school activities such as gymnastic or arranging activities at home, taking them for walks, reading in Russian and doing development activities. The nanny's responsibilities will include cleaning up the toys in the play-area, cleaning after the boys meals (no need to cook for them), folding their clothes - in other words, tiding up after the boys or rather helping them tidy up.
There is currently a housekeeper who works for the family and you will have no housekeeping duties as a nanny. When travelling with the family, you will be provided with comfortable accommodation in a spare room ensuite or checked in to a hotel near to the family. Any additional hours will be discussed and the family are open to increase the salary when travelling.
There are no pets at the property.
